Support Me

My name is Lori and I am a special education teacher in St. Louis.  I have worked with children who have had hidden disabilities for more than 27 years.   Since I was diagnosed in 2000 I have not allowed Diabetes to control my life.  In 2006 I adopted a cat, Cosmo, and within the first year of his life he started to alert me about my blood sugar levels.  He is more accurate then any piece of medical equipment I have ever used.  But this past November he was diagnosed with cancer.  We are already an odd pair in public but soon he will need to have his leg amputated which will draw even more unwanted attention.  Cosmo will need to be taken out of service very soon.  Since contracting cancer myself in 2011 I have had significant blood sugar issues.  I live alone and have no family in town.  So now I am on a mission to get a DAD.  I must raise $25,000 in order to receive a dog.  Please help me continue to have have A Lifetime of Freedom.
